Baduanjin
Baduanjin, translated as Eight Pieces of Brocade, is one of the most common practices of Chinese qigong.
It’s a sequence of eight exercises focusing on different parts of the body. The movements are slow and deliberate and can be easily learned and practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels.
12 meridian movement
The 12 meridians movement is a sequence based on the five elements of traditional Chinese Medicine. In this sequence, each exercise corresponds to a specific animal movement.
The sequence is designed to bring balance and harmony to our body because it works with our 12 primary meridians.
Zhan Zhuang
Zhan Zhuang, translated as “standing like a tree,” is an ancient Chinese mediation method. It’s a core practice in several disciplines like Tai Chi, Qigong, and some internal martial arts styles.
It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, increases internal energy flow (Qi), and cultivates internal power.
Wudang 18
Wudang 18 is a Qigong form originally developed in Tibet and carried by seven generations to the mountains of the north of Thailand. It’s a practice that refines your energy and nourishes the body, mind, and spirit.
Shibashi 1 and 2
Shibashi is a system that combines elements of Taiji and Qigong to create sets of eighteen exercises that make up Taiji Qigong. Shibashi can also be found as “Taiji Qigong in 18 Movements”. It combines elements from Yang-style Taiji and breathing exercises from Qigong. It is a powerful tool to achieve stillness and help the Qi flow freely in your body.
